Introduction

Welcome to Kolaborate Academy, operated by Kolaborate Platforms (“Company”, “we”, “our”, “us”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Kolaborate Academy and its related web pages and mobile applications (together or individually, “Service”).

Our Privacy Policy also governs your use of our Service(s) and explains how we collect, safeguard, and disclose information that results from your use of our web pages. Please read it here.

Your agreement with us includes these Terms and our Privacy Policy (“Agreements”). You acknowledge that you have read and understood the Agreements, and agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree with (or cannot comply with) the Agreements, then you may not use the Service, but please let us know by emailing support@kolaborate.co so we can try to find a solution. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who wish to access or use the Service.

Communications

By creating an account on our Service, you agree to receive course, internship, and account-related communications from us. You may opt out of marketing and promotional emails at any time by following the unsubscribe link in those emails or by emailing support@kolaborate.co.

Courses, Internships, and Certificates

Kolaborate Academy provides courses, virtual internships, mentoring sessions, and related certification. Certificates are issued at Kolaborate's discretion, based on completion and attendance criteria described for each program. Session scheduling for internships may use third-party video-conferencing tools, including Google Meet, in which case your use is also subject to that provider's own terms.

Content

Our Service allows you to post, link, store, share, and otherwise make available certain information, text, graphics, videos, or other material (“Content”). You are responsible for Content that you post on or through the Service, including its legality, reliability, and appropriateness. Content found on or through the Service, including course and lesson materials, is the property of Kolaborate or used with permission, and may not be redistributed for commercial purposes without our written consent.

Prohibited Uses

You may use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to use the Service to violate any applicable law or regulation, to impersonate Kolaborate or another person, to transmit spam or malicious code, to interfere with or disrupt the Service or its underlying infrastructure, or to attempt unauthorized access to any part of the Service.

Analytics

No Use By Minors

The Service is intended only for access and use by individuals at least eighteen (18) years old, or enrolled through an authorized institutional program with appropriate consent. By accessing or using the Service, you warrant that you meet this requirement or are enrolled under such a program.

Accounts

When you create an account with us, you guarantee that the information you provide is accurate, complete, and current. Inaccurate, incomplete, or obsolete information may result in the termination of your account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

The Service and its original content (excluding Content provided by users), features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Kolaborate and its licensors. Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used in connection with any product or service without our prior written consent.

Limitation of Liability

Except as prohibited by law, you agree to hold us and our officers, directors, employees, and agents harmless for any indirect, punitive, special, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and bar access to the Service at our discretion, including for a breach of these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time by discontinuing use of the Service.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Uganda, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.

Amendments to Terms

We may amend these Terms at any time by posting the amended Terms on this site. Your continued use of the Service after revised Terms take effect means you accept and agree to the changes.
